The Origin of Braveheart Ballers
Braveheart Ballers started with a simple belief, that football should help children grow in confidence, discipline, and character, not just ability.
From the outset, the focus was not only on coaching sessions, but on building something sustainable, safe, and fit for long‑term success.
At the beginning, there was no blueprint.
No prior experience in marketing.
No background in outreach.
No ready‑made system.
Just a clear vision and a commitment to building strong foundations from the ground up.
Over the last few months, Braveheart Ballers has been created piece by piece. A registered business was established. A dedicated website was built to provide clarity, transparency, and confidence for parents and partners. New skills were developed across marketing, outreach, photo editing, content creation, and communication.
Everything was built internally.
Flyers were designed, printed, and distributed personally.
Content was created carefully, but not perfectly (still working on that).
Outreach was done face to face, not rushed or informal.
Schools were approached.
Local businesses were engaged.
Relationships were built with care and purpose.
Some opportunities did not progress.
Others opened at the right time.
Rather than rushing into delivery, time was invested in doing things properly — establishing structure, consistency, and standards. This approach ensured that Braveheart Ballers was not just another short‑term coaching setup, but a programme built to last and to genuinely serve children and the community.
From having no experience in starting a business or running a football programme of this nature, Braveheart Ballers has grown into something parents trust and children are excited to join. Players have signed up, interest continues to grow, and there are now children waiting to begin. Were are officially a Community Interest Company with the aim of serving the community and supporting kids at grassroots level.
That progress has come from preparation, dedication, learning, and attention to detail — not shortcuts.
The name Braveheart Ballers reflects the values at the heart of the programme, courage, effort, resilience, and responsibility.
